Arts Education

Below is a description of some of my previous work and volunteer experience in arts education.

I have been volunteering and working as an arts educator since 2007. Specifically, I teach workshops on visual arts, creative writing, and the use of both for political and personal expression to students of all ages. I particularly specialize on creating and leading arts workshops for young adults, women, and racial and ethnic minorities. 

Some of the organizations that I have worked with include 4H, the YMCA, Artists Mentoring Against Racism, Drugs & Violence, the Rutgers Center for Latino Arts and Culture, Rutgers Residence Life, the Bahai Cultural Center in Teaneck, NJ, Upward Bound, and Verbal Mayhem Open Mic among others.
